Precautions for PDC cables
Distribution cabinet, also known as distribution box, distribution board, etc., it is a centralized, switching, distribution of electrical energy equipment, plays a vital role in all kinds of electrical systems. There are many key precautions to remember when connecting cables to a PDC.
01. Preliminary preparation
Familiarwith the electrical schematic diagram and wiring diagram of the PDC, prepare tools such as screwdrivers and wire strippers, and materials such as cables and wiring terminals of consistent specifications and reliable quality.
02.Safety protection
Before connecting cables, disconnect the upper-level power supply, hang warning labels, and check the power supply before performing operations. Construction personnel must wear protective equipment such as insulation gloves and shoes to ensure their own safety.
03.Cable treatment
Select the diameter of the wire and cable properly according to the load current of each loop. Be careful not to damage the wire when removing the insulation skin with wire strippers. Ensure that the length of the cable is moderate. At the same time, each wire is fitted with a line number tube accurately marked with the number and loop name to facilitate subsequent maintenance.
04.Key points of connection
When wiring terminals of electrical components are connected or connected to each other, the wire should be firmly crimped with tools such as crimping pliers to prevent virtual connection. Wiring follows the principle of horizontal and vertical, different functional lines are properly separated, keep neat and beautiful, construction in strict accordance with the wiring diagram, and can not be changed at will.
05.Grounding and insulation
The metal shell of the PDC must be grounded reliably and the grounding resistance must meet standards. After the wiring is complete, use an insulation resistance meter to test the insulation between phases and relative ground of the line to ensure that the insulation is good and there is no leakage risk.
06.Check test
After the wiring is completed, check the wiring diagram comprehensively and correct the error. Before restoring power supply, test the circuit on and off, control circuit action, protection device function, etc., to confirm that the power distribution cabinet can be normally put into use.
